What ages do you serve?
We serve children from six weeks through five years of age, with thoughtfully designed programs tailored to each stage of development. We also offer care for school-age children after school and during school holidays and closure days.

How do I enroll?
Our enrollment process begins by expressing interest and attending a tour. Families who wish to move forward may join our waitlist by submitting brief information and paying a nominal waitlist fee.

What are your hours?
The Journey Begins is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
The Journey Continues is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
When does the new campus open?

Programs & Curriculum
What is play-based learning?
TJB is a play-based program. Play-based is a learning approach that uses play as a central part of the learning process. It’s based on the idea that children learn BEST when they’re actively engaged and exploring in a meaningful and enjoyable way. Play is valued and encouraged. We believe that children learn best when they are motivated by their own curiosity and innate desire to discover, know, and understand. We provide children with a variety of concrete, hands-on opportunities for learning. We stress a cooperative approach and nurture creativity.
Do children learn academics?
Yes! Children learn early academics through hands-on, play-based experiences. Teachers intentionally introduce literacy, math, science, language, and problem-solving through stories, songs, art, sensory play, and everyday routines. Our goal is to build strong foundational skills while helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
How do you prepare children for kindergarten?
We prepare children for kindergarten through purposeful, play-based learning. Children build early literacy, math, problem-solving, communication, and fine-motor skills while also learning to follow routines, work with others, manage emotions, and become more independent. Our goal is for every child to enter kindergarten feeling confident, curious, and ready to learn.
Do you teach Spanish?
We include Spanish language enrichment as part of our weekly curriculum for all age groups.
Do you go outside every day?
Yes! Weather permitting, children enjoy outdoor play every day. We view our outdoor spaces as an extension of the classroom, where children build gross-motor skills, explore nature, engage in imaginative play, and continue learning through hands-on experiences.
How do you support social-emotional development?
We support social-emotional development by building secure, caring relationships and helping children learn to identify emotions, communicate their needs, solve problems, and develop friendships. Through play, routines, and gentle guidance, children build confidence, empathy, independence, and self-regulation.
Tuition & Policies
What is included in tuition?
Tuition includes all educational programming, nutritious food, and campus amenities.
Is there a deposit and registration fee?
There is a one-time non-refundable registration fee required to secure your child’s spot. Additionally, a deposit fee is required and is applied to your last month of care when you give 45 days' notice to withdraw from care.
Do you offer part-time schedules?
Yes, we offer multiple scheduling options, including full-time and specific 2- or 3-day part-time plans. Part-time care can be limited availability. Placement depends on your child’s needs, as some children benefit from a more consistent schedule while transitioning into care. We will work with your family to determine the schedule that best supports your child’s comfort and success.
How do tuition payments work?
Tuition is paid via autopay on a monthly basis through our secure online portal.
What is your withdrawal policy?
We require a 45-day written notice for any withdrawals to process final payments and release spots.
Daily Life
What should my child bring?
We will provide you a list of specific Things to Know and Bring upon enrollment and based on your child's program and needs.
How do you communicate with parents?
We use a daily communication app for updates, photos, and messages between teachers and parents.
Do you help with potty training?Â
Yes! We partner with families throughout the potty-training process. We follow clear readiness guidelines, which we will discuss together as a team, and work to maintain consistency between home and school so your child feels supported and successful.
What if my child has food allergies?
We take food allergies seriously and follow strict protocols based on each child’s individual care plan. We cannot guarantee that every allergy or dietary restriction can be accommodated. We will work closely with your family to determine whether we can safely accommodate your child’s specific needs.
Does my child need to nap?Â
Licensing requires that children under 5 be given the opportunity to rest or nap. We have designated quiet times based on age and provide each child with a comfortable space to sleep or relax. We also work with families to understand each child’s individual sleep needs and routine.
What happens if my child gets sick?
We follow American Academy of Pediatrics health guidelines when determining whether a child can attend or remain in care. Because we get to know each child’s typical demeanor and behavior, we can often recognize when something seems out of the ordinary. We will communicate with your family and work together to create a plan that supports your child’s health and determines whether they are well enough to participate comfortably in care.
